GOAL

To enhance capacities and expand research opportunities for rigorous engagement and scientific advancement in structural determinants of health research, including stigma and health equity research.

 

SPECIFIC AIMS

Aim 1: Develop a community of practice and technical support to empower the next generation of stigma and structural determinants of health researchers.

Aim 2: Advance the proliferation and dissemination of science in measuring and responding to stigma and structural determinants of HIV among emerging scientists.

Aim 3: Build partnerships with community action groups, service providers and health departments to foster the meaningful engagement of impacted communities in all phases of research.

REQUEST FREE SERVICES

  • Technical support in skills development and grant writing (i.e., specific aims reviews for F-, R-, and K-level related grants)
  • Small grants and networking events to foster collaborative engagements
  • Facilitating partnerships and advancing community-engaged research

We are seeking different types of proposals to advance opportunities related to career development among graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and early-stage investigators* conducting HIV, stigma and/or mental health research. Proposals submitted by early-stage investigators will be prioritized.
